Redondo's Beaches Reopen During Costal Cleanup Month

Fall is approaching fast, yet summer is still in full swing. We’re happy to see the Beaches of Redondo giving people the time they need to unwind with a relaxing stroll down the beach, a beautiful picnic or simply enjoying the sea breeze. And after enjoying a social-distance-friendly reopening of the beaches this past Labor Day weekend, we now have the chance to give back to those sandy shores.

September marks Coastal Cleanup Month and we at Redondo Beach take caring for our beaches very seriously. Now more than ever, please do your part to leave our beaches cleaner than we found them to show our appreciation for the joy they bring us and to ensure the safety of those who visit.

As part of Coastal Cleanup Month, Los Angeles County is hosting a contest for third- through fifth-grade students to submit posters with environmental messages that will decorate the beaches of Southern California. To submit your poster and have it appear along the shoreline of Redondo Beach, visit https://beaches.lacounty.gov/postercontest/
