Wild & Scenic Film Festival Returns to Redondo Beach

Nature lovers and film enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is coming to Redondo Union High School on Sunday, April 12, for an afternoon of wildlife, adventure, and conservation storytelling.

Hosted by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC), the festival will showcase nine short films ranging from 4 to 38 minutes. Standout screenings include “Bears in Hot Tubs,” exploring human-wildlife coexistence in Los Angeles, and “Return to the Earth,” which follows one woman’s journey to rebuild sustainably after California’s devastating fires.

The day begins at 3 p.m. with family-friendly activities including wild animal encounters, face painting, and a churro cart. Film screenings start at 4 p.m. Guest speaker Austin Nicassio, founder of Accessible Off-Road, will discuss making the outdoors accessible for people with mobility disabilities.

Tickets are $20 online or $25 at the door, available at pvplc.org/earthday.
